Bookings that call themselves

Guest books online, you confirm by phone, the email goes out automatically, arrival is detected by the NFC tap. No TheFork, no commissions, no no-show fees.

The full flow

Five steps, zero data entry for you

  1. 01

    Guest books online

On your branded site. Picks date, time, party size, leaves name+email+phone. Honeypot anti-bot, IP rate limit, no invasive captcha.

  2. 02

    Automatic email to guest

Receipt confirmation + 'we'll call you shortly' + self-service cancellation link with HMAC token (no password).

  3. 03

    Email lands with you

Staff notification to tenant owners: name, party, time, click-to-call phone. CTA 'Open in dashboard'.

  4. 04

    You confirm by phone

Call the guest, pick the table, mark 'Confirmed' in the dashboard. Automatic t12 email to guest ('You're at table 7'). Reminder 24h before.

  5. 05

    Guest arrives, taps, orders

NFC tap kicks off the order flow + auto-marks the booking 'Arrived'. You know they're at table 7 without doing anything.

Why manual confirmation, not automatic?

All the big players (TheFork, Quandoo, OpenTable) auto-confirm. We don't. We do it by hand, on the phone. Sounds old-school, but it's a deliberate editorial choice.

Manual confirmation means: hearing the guest's voice, picking up whether it's a birthday or a colleague dinner, catching 'we're allergic to clams' that an online form would bury in a notes field. It also means: being able to turn down bookings that smell off (suspicious groups, repeat no-show). The phone is the human filter the software lacks.

What we DON'T do

Three things people asked us for and we said no

  • No Stripe deposit for no-show

Holding €10/person if they don't show really reduces no-shows, but adds friction at booking time and puts refund liability on you (Stripe fees, disputes). For our first venue in Punta Ala we said no. We'll reconsider if the numbers tell us we need it.

  • No SMS reminders

Twilio is €10/month fixed plus €0.05 per SMS. For 50 bookings/week that's ~€20/month at scale. The 24h-before email reminder has 70%+ open rate — enough. We'll add SMS only if we see high no-shows on specific segments.

  • No TheFork integration

TheFork takes 4–7% on the cover and keeps the contact list. Our bookings are yours: contacts stay in your database, no commissions, no lock-in.

Ready to take your contact list back?

Bookings from your own site become yours. No platform in between, no commission, no strings attached.
